Upgrade from previous version is done automatically, simply run new application. New version will load and convert data files from older versions. But before that it is wise to make a backup copy of .gtd-free folder in your home directory as a safety precaution. If you are not sure where this folder is then open Help/About dialog and check for the value of gtd-free.data in the System Properties tab. Making regular backups is healthy habit anyhow.
